Journal of Geographic Education and Studies (JGES) welcomes original, unpublished scholarly research in geography, geographic education, environmental studies, spatial analysis, GIS and remote sensing, physical geography, human geography, urban and regional studies, sustainability, and related interdisciplinary fields. Manuscripts must not be under consideration by another journal at the time of submission and should comply with the journal's publication ethics and editorial requirements.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

• The research is original and has been conducted responsibly and ethically.
• The manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere.
• All sources, datasets, maps, figures, images, and other materials are properly cited or acknowledged.
• Necessary permissions have been obtained for copyrighted or third-party materials where required.
• All listed authors have made appropriate contributions and have approved the submitted version.
• The manuscript follows the journal's formatting, submission, and ethical requirements.

Manuscript Preparation

• Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) unless otherwise specified by the journal.
• Use 12-point Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing.
• Include a concise and informative title, an abstract of approximately 150–250 words, and 4–6 keywords.
• Research articles should generally include appropriate sections such as Introduction, Literature Review or Background, Methodology, Results or Findings, Discussion, and Conclusion.
• Manuscripts should be of an appropriate length for the research presented and should avoid unnecessary repetition.
• All manuscripts should be prepared in a clear and logically organized format.

Formatting Requirements

• Include the manuscript title, author name(s), institutional affiliation(s), corresponding author details, and ORCID iD where available.
• Use clear and consistent academic English throughout the manuscript.
• Number pages consecutively where applicable.
• Tables and figures should be clearly numbered, titled, and cited in the text.
• Maps should include appropriate titles, legends, scale information, orientation, and source information where applicable.
• Geographical data, datasets, images, maps, and other externally sourced materials should be properly attributed.
• Units, abbreviations, geographical names, and terminology should be used consistently throughout the manuscript.

Reference Style

Authors should follow the APA referencing style unless otherwise specified in the journal's manuscript template. References should be complete, accurate, and consistent. DOI information should be included wherever available, and all sources cited in the manuscript should appear in the reference list.
