Copyright Ownership

All articles published in the Journal of Geographic Education and Studies (JGES) remain the copyright of the respective author(s).

Authors retain full copyright ownership of their published work and do not transfer copyright to the journal or publisher.

By submitting and publishing an article in JGES, authors grant the journal and its publisher a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, archive, display, and distribute the article as part of the journal's scholarly record.

Licensing Terms (CC BY 4.0)

All articles published by the Journal of Geographic Education and Studies (JGES) are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.

The CC BY 4.0 License permits users to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the published material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes.
  • Reuse — use and incorporate the published work into other lawful scholarly, educational, research, or professional activities.

These permissions are subject to the following condition:

Author Rights

Authors publishing in the Journal of Geographic Education and Studies (JGES) retain the right to:
