Journal of Geographic Education and Studies (JGES) is an open-access journal. To support editorial management, peer review, online hosting, production, and long-term digital preservation of published content, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applicable only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

The Article Processing Charge (APC) is USD 500 for all accepted manuscripts. The APC becomes payable only after the manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and has received formal acceptance for publication.

There is no submission fee, and all publication charges are communicated to authors in a transparent manner. No hidden or additional publication charges are applied during the submission or peer-review process.

Waiver and Discount Policy

Requests for APC waivers or partial discounts may be considered in exceptional circumstances, including authors from low-income countries, early-career researchers, researchers with limited funding, or invited submissions. All waiver and discount requests are reviewed individually by the editorial team and may be granted at its discretion. The ability to pay an APC does not influence editorial decisions or peer-review outcomes.

Correction and Withdrawal Policy

The journal follows internationally recognized publication ethics and maintains a transparent process for handling corrections, withdrawals, retractions, and post-publication updates. All requests are carefully reviewed by the editorial team before a final decision is made.

A processing fee of USD 200 may be applicable for certain author-requested correction, republication, or administrative update requests that require substantial technical or production work. However, no fee is charged for corrections or retractions made by the journal because of editorial error, production error, or issues affecting the integrity of the published scholarly record.

Requests involving research integrity concerns, ethical issues, or potential retractions are assessed independently of any processing fee, and payment of a fee does not influence the editorial decision.
